போராடி வீரச் சாவைக் தழுவிக்கொண்ட ஒரு பூச்சியின் வீரகாவியம்

இங்கு நாம் காண்பது ஒரு ஆண்மையுள்ள பூச்சி எப்படி ஒரு நாயுடன் போராடுகிறது என்பதே. இது போன்ற நிகழ்சிகள் எப்பொழுதாவது தான் நடைபெறும்.

ஒரு நாள் அந்த பூச்சி தனது வழியில் சென்று கொண்டுஇருக்கும் பொழுது எதிரே வந்தா நாய் குட்டி அதனை பார்த்து விட்டது. ஆனால் அந்த பூச்சியோ எந்த தொந்தரவும் செய்யாமல் தனது வழியிலேயே செல்ல நினைக்கிறது, குட்டி நாயே அதனை வம்புக்கு இழுக்கிறது, ஆனால் அந்த பூச்சி அதை சட்டைசெய்யாமல் தனது வழியே செல்ல நினைக்கிறது.

மீண்டும் மீண்டும் தொந்தரவு செய்யும் நாய்க்குட்டியை எதிர்த்து போராட நினைத்து, அதில் இறங்கவும் தயாராகிறது. மிகவும் வீரமாக போராடிய பூச்சியை நாய் குட்டியோ சர்வ சாதரணமாக சமாளித்து விடுகிறது.

சிறிது நேரம் சென்றதும் நாய் குட்டி அதனை தாக்குகிறது, தாக்குதல் முடிந்ததும் அந்த பூச்சியை உணவாக உட்கொள்கிறது.

அந்த சிறிய பூச்சிக்கு இருக்கும் போராடும் குணம் நம்மை வியப்பில் ஆழ்த்துகிறது. இதை தமிழர்கள் ஆகிய நாம் ஒருபாடமாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

India never invaded any country in her last 100000 years of history.
When many cultures were only nomadic forest dwellers over 5000 years ago, Indians established Harappan culture in Sindhu Valley (Indus Valley Civilization)

Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus are studies, which originated in India.
The 'Place Value System' and the 'Decimal System' were developed in India in 100 B.C.
The World's First Granite Temple is the Brihadeswara Temple at Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu. The shikhara of the temple is made from a single 80-tonne piece of granite. This magnificent temple was built in just five years, (between 1004 AD and 1009 AD) during the reign of Rajaraja Chola.

PHP Strings

String Variables in PHP

String variables are used for values that contains characters.

In this chapter we are going to look at the most common functions and operators used to manipulate strings in PHP.

After we create a string we can manipulate it. A string can be used directly in a function or it can be stored in a variable.

Below, the PHP script assigns the text "Hello World" to a string variable called $txt:

The output of the code above will be:

Hello World

Now, lets try to use some different functions and operators to manipulate the string.

The Concatenation Operator

There is only one string operator in PHP.

The concatenation operator (.) is used to put two string values together.

To concatenate two string variables together, use the concatenation operator:

$txt1="Hello World!";

$txt2="What a nice day!";

echo $txt1 . " " . $txt2;

?>

The output of the code above will be:

Hello World! What a nice day!

If we look at the code above you see that we used the concatenation operator two times. This is because we had to insert a third string (a space character), to separate the two strings.

The strlen() function

The strlen() function is used to return the length of a string.

Let's find the length of a string:

echo strlen("Hello world!");

?>

The output of the code above will be:

The length of a string is often used in loops or other functions, when it is important to know when the string ends. (i.e. in a loop, we would want to stop the loop after the last character in the string).

The strpos() function

The strpos() function is used to search for character within a string.

If a match is found, this function will return the position of the first match. If no match is found, it will return FALSE.

Let's see if we can find the string "world" in our string:

வார மாத தவம் போல் காத்திருந்து -
வெளிவராத மங்கை;

என்றேனும் எட்டி வானம் பார்க்கையில்
அதிசயம் பூத்து போன - பூஞ்சரமாய்
சுட்டிக் காட்டும் விரல்நுனியில் - உதடு சுழித்து
முத்தமிட்ட வண்ணப் பெண்ணவள் வானவில்! வானவில்!

விழிகளில் விளக்கெரித்து
என்
படுக்கைக்குக் காவலிருந்தாய்.
பசி என்னும் வார்த்தை கூட
நான் கேட்டதில்லை
நீ
பசியை உண்டு வாழ்ந்திருக்கிறாய் .
என் புத்தகச் சுமை
முதுகை அழுத்தி அழுதபோது
செருப்பில்லாத பாதங்களேடு
இடுப்பில் என்னை
இரண்டரை மைல் சுமந்திருக்கிறாய்.
அகரம் அறிமுகமான ஆரம்ப நாட்களில்
